An email when production fails
When something fails in an app's production, an action that threw or didn't answer, a job that gave up, a deploy that failed, a release Shopify refused or a route that answered 5xx, the team's owners, admins and the members who can see the app now get an email naming what failed and why, each line linking to its event in Logs. The first failure after a quiet spell is sent within a minute.
To keep it to at most two emails a day per app, failures in the 12 hours after an email are held and sent together when the 12 hours are up; every failure is in exactly one email. Development's failures are never emailed, and neither are a job's retries that go on to succeed, record writes a caller got wrong, or 4xx answers the app chose to give.
Turn them off for an app with alerts: { failures: false } in its settings.ib.ts; production's settings are its last deploy's.
