The guide says which settings take a dynamic source, and which ones your store has connected
On a section's or a block's page, a setting the theme editor can connect to a metafield or a product attribute now carries a mark beside its name, explained once above the table. A default that names a source, such as Featuring: {{ product.title }}, reads as its text with a chip for the source instead of None. Under Where your store uses it, each copy on the store lists where each such setting's content comes from: the metafield or attribute it is connected to and what that is, that it was typed in, or that it was left as the theme has it. A metafield the store no longer defines is flagged as missing, and the page's badges count the connected settings and the missing sources.
What was typed into a setting is never read into the guide, as before; only that something was. The metafield types come from the store's definitions, read through the team's Shopify sign-in: a repository that reaches its store with a Theme Access password shows the connections without their types, and nothing is flagged as missing.
The next run of each guide adds it; no page is written again for it.
